What is ateneo volleyball?

The Ateneo de Manila University volleyball program is one of the most successful in the Philippines. The women's team, also known as the Lady Eagles, have won six championships in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the country's premier collegiate league. They first won the championship in Season 76 (2013-2014) and then went on to win five more consecutive titles until Season 81 (2018-2019). The team is known for their strong offense and defense, and has produced many standout players such as Alyssa Valdez, Bea De Leon, and Maddie Madayag.

The men's team, also known as the Blue Eagles, have won three championships in the UAAP. They won their first championship in Season 77 (2014-2015) and then won two more consecutive titles in Seasons 79 and 80 (2016-2018). The team is known for their powerful spikes and serves, and has produced many notable players such as Marck Espejo and Ysay Marasigan.

Both the women's and men's teams have also represented the Philippines in international competitions such as the ASEAN University Games and the Southeast Asian Games.
